On MTV's Teen Mom, numerous young mothers opened up about their experience raising a child as a teenager. Many of them struggled, but today, these supermoms are killing it! Keep reading to see what some of the Teen Mom cast members are up to today.
Jade Cline in 2018
Jade Cline joined the cast of Young and Pregnant when she was expecting her first child. She gave birth to her baby girl, Kloie in 2018, and then became a part of the Teen Mom crew, where she opened up about the challenges of being a young mom.
However, Jade wasn't pleased with how she was portrayed in the series, as it showed her various fights with her boyfriend, Sean Austin, and Kloie's tantrums. "What's sooo [sic] funny about this is they secretly filmed all this without my knowledge," she claimed.

In the summer of 2020, rumors sparked that Jade was pregnant with her second child, but she immediately shut them down. "I feel like right now it's time for me to work on myself, and my career's going awesome," she revealed. "I want to keep building my career."
Today, she works as a successful hairdresser and has high hopes for the future, with her daughter Kloie by her side. Jade also shared that she plans to have more children someday, but right now, she's focused on the life she's built for her and Kloie.
Maci Bookout in 2009
Maci Bookout gave birth to her first child, Bentley, during season one of 16 and Pregnant in 2009. At the time, she was dating Ryan Edwards, and they got engaged after Bentley was born, but they later split up. So, MTV followed Maci on her journey as a single mother, which changed when she met her now-husband, Taylor McKinney.
Maci had her second child, Jayde, in 2015, and then she and Taylor got engaged the following year. Maci once revealed that Teen Mom created a false representation of her life. "Do I feel like my story is accurately portrayed on the show? Absolutely NOT," Maci declared. She threatened to leave the show but never actually did it.

Today, Maci and Taylor are living a life that was never really shown on camera. The happy couple's busy raising three kids, one from Maci's previous relationship, and the other two are Taylor's biological children. Maci still makes appearances on the spinoff series Teen Mom OG and is now the proud author of two books.
Maci said she'd love to continue growing her family but would prefer adoption in the future. "It's one of those things where if we are capable of providing a stable home, healthy relationships, and some hope for a child who may not have that or ever experienced it, then we want to," she explained.
Mackenzie McKee in 2011
Everything changed for Mackenzie McKee when she went from a high school cheerleader to an expecting mother, and she appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2011. She gave birth to baby Gannon in September of 2011 and then married her boyfriend, Josh McKee, and adjusted to a whole new lifestyle.
Even after many ups and downs in their relationship, Mackenzie and Josh managed to work through the hard times and eventually had two more children together. But in 2018, Mackenzie's world was turned upside down when her mother was sadly diagnosed with cancer.

So, Mackenzie began caring for her mother, in addition to her children; She had high hopes that her mom would win this battle. However, Mackenzie's mother passed away after putting up a tough fight, and Mackenzie looked at the positive, that she would no longer suffer. As for today?
As the mother of three beautiful children, Mackenzie works extremely hard as a fitness guru, empowering clients to look and feel their very best. It's no secret that Mackenzie's doing it all, and she's shared that her experience on MTV made her the strong and powerful woman that she is today.
Jenelle Evans in 2011
When Jenelle Evans appeared on season two of Teen Mom, she was at odds with her mother because of her partying ways. At the time, she was raising her son, Jace, on her own, as Jace's father was out of the picture entirely. Jenelle's mother gained custody of Jace, as she felt Jenelle wasn't ready to raise a baby on her own.
Jenelle was eager to find love yet again, and she did indeed start dating another man, Nathan Griffith. Jenelle had her second child with Nathan in 2014, but the two eventually broke up. With two young kids at home, Jenelle was still hopeful that she'd find the man of her dreams and create a stable life for her family.

Today, Jenelle's married to David Eason, whom she met on a dating app back in 2015. They had their first child together, Ensley, in 2017 and have been in love ever since. However, it hasn't been all smooth sailing; Jenelle temporarily lost custody of her children after the family dog bit Ensley's face.
She was eventually fired from Teen Mom but revealed, "My relationship with MTV right now - we just left it on a civil note. And, you know, apparently, I'm still in an open contract, I hear," Jenelle shared in 2019. Recently, Jenelle shared, "I have custody of Jace [again]... My [3] kids are happy, they're healthy."
Kailyn Lowry in 2009
When Kailyn Lowry appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2009, she struggled with the lack of support from her family during her pregnancy at age 17. At the time, her boyfriend, Jo Rivera, and his family were Kailyn's support system, but once the baby was born in 2011, the couple started fighting frequently.
Kailyn and Jo eventually broke up and did their best to co-parent for the sake of their son, Isaac. During her time on Teen Mom, Kailyn found love again, this time with Javi Marroquin. They got married pretty quickly, and Lowry had her second child, Lincoln. However, the two later divorced, and Kailyn fought hard for custody.

Kailyn and Jo received joint custody, and Kailyn was confident that she wouldn't be having any more children, as that's what doctors had told her. But a miracle happened, and she had her third baby in 2017 with her longtime friend, Chris Lopez. As for today?
Kailyn seems to be doing it all! While raising three children, she's also the proud owner of the company Pothead Haircare and hosts two podcasts, one of which allows her to discuss what it's like co-parenting. And that's not all; Kailyn's also a New York Times best-selling author, after publishing Pride Over Pity.
Chelsea Houska in 2011
Chelsea Houska first appeared on 16 and Pregnant during her senior year of high school. She decided to drop out of school to focus on her pregnancy with her former boyfriend, Adam Lind. After going into labor weeks early, Chelsea gave birth to her baby girl, Aubree.
While navigating her way through motherhood, Chelsea got her GED online and eventually enrolled in beauty school, as she was determined to pursue some sort of career to support herself and her baby. And to make matters more complicated, Adam was fighting for joint custody, but in the end, gave up that battle.

Chelsea later attended cosmetology school while working part-time in a salon; She had big aspirations for her future. Eventually, Chelsea met her now-husband, Cole DeBoer, and they started a beautiful life together. Today, Chelsea's a proud mother of three children, with a fourth on the way.
Chelsea's incredibly proud of the life she's made for herself, and Aubree even started to view Cole as a father figure, making Chelsea even more grateful. She also built two businesses from the ground up, Aubree Says and Down Home DeBoers, both involving her love for design.
Farrah Abraham in 2009
Farrah Abraham first graced our screens on MTV's 16 and Pregnant while she was in high school. She'd tried to keep her pregnancy a secret from her parents and Derek, her baby's father, but eventually, they all found out, of course. However, Derek tragically died in a car accident before Farrah gave birth.
So, when baby Sophia was born in February of 2009, Farrah had to adjust to life as a single mother rather quickly while filming the first season of Teen Mom. After a while, though, Farrah pursued a career in the adult entertainment industry, so she said goodbye to her days of starring on Teen Mom.

As for today? Farrah and Sophia appear to be the ultimate mother-daughter duo, taking on life in the public eye by storm while always dressing to impress. After leaving Teen Mom to enter the entertainment industry, she'd had great success as a TV personality, singer, and writer.
Farrah hit a rough patch in 2018 when she pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, but the charges were later dropped, and she got right back to living her best life with Sophia. And when TikTok took over the internet in 2020, Farrah and Sophia rose to the spotlight yet again.
Catelynn Lowell in 2009
Caitlynn Lowell first opened up about her pregnancy on 16 and Pregnant in 2009 when she and her boyfriend, Tyler Baltierra, decided to give their daughter up for adoption. But MTV still brought them back to star in the first season of Teen Mom, and we got to see these two get engaged, hopeful of a bright future.
Years later, Catelynn became pregnant again, this time, ready to raise a child. And in 2015, baby Novalee was born. Throughout the series, we got to see Catelynn navigate her way through motherhood, and to make things even more exciting, she and Tyler got married shortly after she gave birth.
Caitlynn Lowell Now
After starring in Teen Mom, Catelynn started her own clothing company called Tierra Reign Apparel. She and Tyler also published a book, titled Conquering Chaos, where they opened up about their recent life experiences. Today, Catelynn is raising two beautiful children, with Tyler still by her side.
But in December of 2020, Catelynn sadly had a miscarriage. "I WAS pregnant and excited to share it with all of you and I am heartbroken to reveal that I lost the baby," she shared on Twitter. Now, Catelynn is focused on her family and said that she's still in touch with her firstborn, Carly, who was adopted at birth.
Brianna Jaramillo in 2017
Brianna Jaramillo starred on Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant as the youngest cast member. She became pregnant with a stranger's baby while she was in high school, and she had been on a break with her boyfriend, Danae Hudson. In August of 2017, she gave birth to her son, Braeson.
Even though Danae wasn't the baby's biological father, he stepped up to help Brianna raise baby Braeson so she wouldn't have to do it on her own. However, the couple frequently fought on the show and disagreed on many significant issues. They eventually broke up, but Danae still remained in Braeson's life.
Brianna Jaramillo Now
Braeson was born without a forearm on one side, so Brianna had to be extra cautious while raising him. She's done everything possible to provide a happy and healthy life for Braeson, but has had a hard time watching him struggle to do many activities. Brianna eventually moved to Portland, Oregon, with her mother and new boyfriend.
Unfortunately, Brianna and her then-boyfriend, Robert Reams, broke up, but she continued dating other men in Portland. She also began working as a dental assistant, hoping to pursue a full-time career in dentistry. Ultimately, Brianna's main priority is making sure Braeson has a great life regardless of his disability.
Bristol Palin in 2018
Bristol Palin joined the cast of Teen Mom in 2018, as one of the older mothers on the show, but was looking forward to sharing her experience as she'd given birth as a teenager years before. She spoke about the struggles she'd experienced in her pregnancy while her mother, Sarah Palin, was running for vice president back in 2008.
"I've grown up so much the last 10 years, and I think God gave me this platform to be on this show, to open up my life and to discuss things that are going on or that I'm passionate about," Bristol revealed during season seven. "If I can help or encourage others, then I think that's what God wanted me to do."

However, being on Teen Mom wasn't the experience that Bristol had expected. The show focused a lot on the problems in her marriage with her ex-husband, Dakota Meyer, rather than motherhood. "All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/ Jerry Springer BS, and it's simply not true."
So, Bristol left the show after just one season, pursued a career in real estate, and is currently the proud mother of three beautiful children. She's also a public speaker and is always open to sharing her journey of teenage pregnancy and motherhood with anyone who wants to listen.
Alex Sekella in 2011
Alex Sekella gave us a look inside her complicated relationship with her former boyfriend, Matt McCann, as she was getting ready to give birth in 2011. Her mother encouraged her to put her baby up for adoption, as she felt Alex wasn't ready to raise a child, but in the end, Alex kept her adorable daughter, Arabella.
After Arabella was born, Alex had to take on the responsibilities of being a single mother. She struggled to support herself and the baby, though, so she ended up moving back in with her mother. But over time, things got better for Alex, and she started dating the love of her life, Tim Peters.

In April of 2020, Alex and Tim said, "I do," alongside 9-year-old Arabella, who's grown up quite a bit since we last saw her on Teen Mom. Ever since falling for Tim, Alex has enjoyed a quiet life, far away from the spotlight. Based on her social media accounts, it appears that Alex and her mother are on much better terms.
Today, her main priority is raising her daughter, alongside her loving husband, who has been an incredible fatherly-figure to Arabella. Since leaving reality TV, "I've been able to start a normal life and start a REAL career that will last a long time and benefit my children," Alex proudly shared.
Amber Portwood in 2009
Amber Portwood first appeared on 16 and Pregnant during her pregnancy with her first child. The series focused on her struggles with her boyfriend, Gary Shirley's, immaturity, and tension building within the entire family. In November of 2008, Amber gave birth to her baby girl, Leah.
While she was thrilled about her baby girl, Amber was constantly fighting with Gary, and she was arrested after physically harming him in 2010. She was later charged with possession of illegal substances and served some prison time. Eventually, she started dating Andrew Glennon and had her second child in 2018.

Portwood was arrested again in 2019 and charged with domestic battery, which put a strain on her entire family. As for today? Based on Amber's social media accounts, she's been spending time with her children and enjoying watching them grow up. She and Leah appear to be an incredible mother-daughter duo.
Looking back, Amber felt that if it weren't for Teen Mom, she might not have gotten into so much trouble with the law, as it put her in the spotlight. "I might get attention, but it's not the right attention," she explained. "I turned 20, and I don't want to be known as 'Amber from Teen Mom.'"
Katie Yeager in 2011
Katie Yeager appeared on 16 and Pregnant when she became pregnant with her boyfriend, Joey Maes. The show followed the couple doing their best to find their own home and be financially stable, but they experienced some struggles along the way. Katie gave birth to her daughter, Molli, in June of 2011.
During her reign on Teen Mom, we watched Katie find love with another man, Tyler Thayn, who became the father of her second child, Reagan. However, Katie hinted on social media years later that things didn't work out with Tyler, and she was living life as a single mother, happily raising her beautiful children.

In 2019, Katie shared some inspiring words on Instagram; "Last year, my resolution was to 'let it be.' I let people who I had spent years trying to please go," she revealed. "It was an effort at first, but slowly it just became a part of me... I realized I was at peace. For the first time in a long time."
Katie's continued to share her story about being a young mother and what she's done to get to this point in her life, where she feels happy and confident about the family she's created. While she's no longer living her life in the spotlight, she updates fans on her children and new endeavors through social media.
Briana DeJesus in 2011
With big dreams of getting a college degree, Briana DeJesus became pregnant with her first child in 2011, and all other matters were put on hold. At the time, her boyfriend, Devoin Austin, was not as supportive as Briana would've hoped, and she ended up raising her daughter, Nova, primarily on her own.
Briana gave birth to her second child, Stella, in July of 2017 with Luis Hernandez, who she had been involved with at the time. She continued her reign on reality TV for a few years, giving fans a glimpse inside her life as a young mother through all of the ups and downs.

Today, Briana prefers to keep her dating life to herself but is still sharing her motherhood journey on Teen Mom 2. Recently, Briana discovered that she has a 14-year-old brother, which was shocking news to her. "Throughout my whole life, I only thought I had one sibling, and that was my sister, Brittany," she shared.
"And then out of nowhere, a 14-year-old brother." While Briana was upset with her family for never telling her about this, "another part of me was like, wow, this is so cool. I have another sibling," Brianna continued. As of now, she's an incredibly proud mother of two while learning more about her family history.
Leah Messer in 2011
When we first met Leah Messer in 2011, she was pregnant with twins. At the time, Leah was a passionate cheerleader but had to put that on hold to prepare for her babies' birth with her boyfriend, Corey Simms. After welcoming their twin girls, Aliannah and Aleeah, into the world, the couple struggled with parenthood.
Aliannah was diagnosed with titin muscular dystrophy, a rare condition usually found in adults, not babies. On the show, Leah and Corey frequently got into disagreements on parenting methods, which eventually tore them apart. But then Leah met Jeremy Calvert, and they quickly got engaged.

Leah and Jeremy married in 2012 and welcomed a baby girl into the world together. However, they eventually divorced, and Leah had to adjust to life as a single mother of three young kids. She dated other men over the years, but as of today, she's still single and has been focused on writing her memoir, called Hope, Grace, & Faith.
"At the end of the day, if I was going to own my story and own my truth, I was going to own it all," Leah revealed. "[I wanted] to open up and allow others to see all the imperfections, because it's okay." Leah opened up about her struggles with substance abuse, among other things, and is proud to say she's doing better than ever.
