From Adriana Lima to Tyra Banks, former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter has dated many A-listers. We're taking a look back at everyone he's dated before ultimately settling down with his current wife.
Lara Dutta
Back in 1999, the star athlete had won the World Series and was ready to win over Miss Universe. Jeter and the Indian-born actress and model Lara Dutta started dating in 2000 - the same year she won the pageant.
The pair were together for the whole year, and maybe Dutta was a good luck charm because the Yankees had won the World Series yet again. And while it didn't work out between the two, it seems like Dutta wasn't over dating athletes. Currently, she is married to another former sports star, tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi.
Adriana Lima
Not only did Jeter date actresses and singers, but also high earning models. In 2006 the baseball star started dating Victoria's Secret angel Adriana Lima. Who at the time was #99 on Forbes's list of Best Paid Celebrities. Lima was really on top of her career and dating game!
Unfortunately, the two didn't last long, and they each went their separate ways. A mere 3 years after they ended things, the supermodel had moved on with another athlete. Lima married professional basketball player Marko Jarić. They had 2 kids before splitting up in 2014.
Jessica Biel
As Jeter was getting over Adriana Lima and Jessica Biel was getting over her breakup with Chris Evans, the two started to form a relationship. At first, it didn't seem to be too serious - the couple was seen dancing at a club and hanging out under the sun.
But fans were surprised when the two confessed they had been seeing one another in 2006. Although they seemed to make a cute couple, they didn't have much in common, and after a few months, the short-lived relationship was already over. But maybe it was for the best...
Jessica Biel, Again
Shortly after the fling between the actress and Jeter had ended, Biel met her future husband. The 7th Heaven star and Justin Timberlake hit things off and later got married. It just goes to show that things typically end up working out the way they're supposed to.
These days, Biel and Timberlake have two kids and are still happily married. Biel has continued to shine bright, becoming arguably one of Hollywood's most sought-out actresses. She has starred in many hit films, including Valentines Day, Total Recall, and more.
Vanessa Minnillo
Jeter's past relationships were usually short-lived, so fans were surprised when the baseball champion stayed with Miss Teen USA winner ad TV star Vanessa Minnillo for a whole three years! The relationship was very on and off until - when it finally ended.
Many were dispirited when they heard the news about the couple. Fans thought that Jeter's bachelor days were over, but they couldn't have been more wrong. He had a few more years before tying the knot. Contrarily, Minnillo was married a few years after their breakup.
Vanessa Minnillo, Again
After the split in 2006, Minnillo starred in Nick Lachey's music video for his song, What's Left Of Me. The two seemed to hit things off both on and off the screen. Ironically, the video was an ode to Lachey's then deteriorating marriage to fellow singer Jessica Simpson.
Little did Lachey know that the girl he cast to star as his wife in the music video would later on really be his wife. After the shoot, the two started dating. And by 2011, the celebrity couple had finally tied the knot. Today, the pair share 3 kids together and seem to be going strong.
Jessica Alba
It comes as no surprise that an A-list actress is up next on the list of Jeter's ex-girlfriends. Jessica Alba has been acting since she was just 13 year old, but it wasn't until she was 19 and starring in the series Dark Angel that she rose to fame and made headlines.
Although neither Jeter nor Alba had ever acknowledged the relationship, it's been said the two had dated for a short period. Apparently, it was during one of the many breaks Jeter and Vanessa Minnillo had. It wasn't too serious, and a few years after the alleged hook-up, Alba married Cash Warren in 2008.
Vida Guerra
From Miss America winners to top-paid models, Captain Clutch was arguably best known for dating the biggest IT girls of the time. And things were no different in 2005 when the athlete had formed a relationship with Vida Guerra, who had just been titled FHM's model of the year.
Guerra was originally from Cuba, but she and her family moved to New Jersey when she was young. Her debut modeling gig was in a lingerie shoot for the magazine FHM. It's been said that many fans wrote to the magazine asking that the model be featured in more photos.
Vida Guerra, Again
But fans and admirers weren't the only ones that had their eyes on the Cuban model. Jeter and Guerra didn't date for long, but it seemed like that year was good for Jeter for more than one reason. He not only won his second Golden Glove award, but he finished second in the American League run scores.
Eventually, the baseball player called it quit with Guerra, but luckily it sounded like there was no bad blood between the two. “He said once he retired, he wanted to get married, so he’s living his dream,” she later revealed to TMZ. “He’s really an awesome person, and I wish him all the best.”
Tyra Banks
Captain Clutchs' interest in models started a while back. Back in 1997, rumors spread that Jeter had started seeing supermodel and America's Next Top Model host, Tyra Banks. While it was never confirmed by either celeb, many believe the two were in a short-lived relationship.
At one point, Jeter even responded to all the allegations and told the media he and Banks were not seeing each other. He claimed the two were just sitting together during a Knicks game because they were both International Management Group (IMG) clients. Perhaps we'll never know...
Gabrielle Union
Back before Gabrielle Union was married to Dwayne Wade, fans speculated that the actress had a fling with the baseball star. It was around the time that Jeter and Jessica Biel had called it quits. And he wasn't the only one who had just gotten out of a relationship.
The Bring It On star and her then-husband of 5 years, Chris Howard, had just gotten a divorce when the rumors started. It was speculated that Union and Jeter were spending time together in the Bahamas. What a great place to get over heartbreak and start a new fling. Right?
Gabrielle Union, Again
According to Gabrielle Union, the rumors that she and Jeter ever dated were totally wrong. The actress confessed to People Magazine, "I'm linked to a lot of people. Trust me, if I were dating Derek Jeter, I would hold my own press conference to announce it to the world."
While she claimed that she was never linked to the baseball player, Union was later married to a different athlete. In 2014, she and former professional basketball player Dwayne Wade got hitched. We're guessing that Union might have had a thing for men in sports.
Bridget Hall
2000 was arguably a great year for Derek Jeter. First, he got to date Miss Universe, Lara Dutta, and then a top Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Editions model. While it was never officially confirmed, it was speculated that he and Bridget Hall were together for some time.
Although based on many of Jeter's past relationships, we do not doubt that he and the swimsuit model might have had something going on. After all, Jeter was always dating girls at the top of their games. And at this point, Hall was at her peak with her modelling.
Jordana Brewster
In the 1990s, Jordana Brewster was getting her acting career started. The soap star was featured in popular shows, including All My Children and As the World Turns. She was rising to fame at around the same time that her latest beau, Derek Jeter, was also becoming more famous.
The two were going strong when Brewster landed the role of a lifetime. The actress had scored a spot in the franchise The Fast and the Furious as the character Mia. But the movie wasn't the only fast thing happening for her. The couple's relationship didn't last long, and soon, they were over.
Jordana Brewster, Again
Unlike many of Jeter's other girlfriends or flings, his time with Brewster wasn't hidden. The two stars weren't afraid to be seen together in public. But after the highly publicized relationship ended, it didn't take long before they were both with someone new.
In 2007, Brewster got married to film producer Andrew Form. Together the couple shares two children. She might have landed her first major role while with Jeter, but over 20 years later Brewster is still playing 'Mia' - most recently in the 2021 release of Fast and Furious 9.
Scarlett Johansson
Another Hollywood bombshell Jeter dated was none other than Scarlett Johansson. Ever since the 1990's, the actress has appeared in dozen of movies, like The Avengers, Lost In Translation, and more. It seems like each year, she somehow manages to become more and more famous.
At the rise of her career, in 2004 it was reported that Johansson and professional baseball star, Derek Jeter, were hooking up. As the story goes, it was supposedly during one of the many breaks that Jeter and his then-on-and-off girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo, were on.
Scarlett Johansson, Again
Nothing was ever confirmed or denied by either party, but we wouldn't be surprised that one of the athlete's love interests was Esquire magazine's sexiest woman alive. But, in true Jeter fashion, his time with Johansson was temporary, and soon they went their separate ways.
Around four years later, the Lucy star got hitched to fellow actor Ryan Reynolds. The two never had children together, and in 2011, they decided to get a divorce. It took both Jeter and Johansson a few tries before they each found the one they would be with for good.
Rachel Uchitel
Rachel Uchitel rose to fame for her work as a TV correspondent and hostess. She also worked as a nightclub promoter, where she met many stars. But it wasn't until 2010 that Uchitel's name became arguably more recognizable. But perhaps not for the right reasons.
Uchitel was reported to be one of the many mistresses that Tiger Woods dated while he was married to Elin Nordegren, with whom he had two children. When the news broke that she was one of the pro golfer's lovers, her past relationships with athletes became more publicized.
Rachel Uchitel, Again
Before Uchitel was ever caught up with Woods, she was suspected of having a short-lived fling with the former Yankees player. The two were reported to have dated for a few months back in 2008. And while we can't be sure of it, based on both Jeters and Uchitel's past relationships, perhaps we're not surprised they crossed paths.
But Uchitel's time dating athletes was actually far from over. As a matter of fact, by 2013, the Hollywood bombshell officially tied the knot with Matt Hahn. While he wasn't a pro, Hahn did play football at Penn State before moving on to work in finance.
Joy Enriquez
Jessica Biel isn't the only 7th Heaven star that Jeter has previously dated. Joy Enriquez is a singer and actress who appeared on the show for a singing role in one episode. But her career started years prior to this when Enriquez was a young girl. At age 11, she auditioned for Star Search.
From there, the singer managed to land a record deal, and soon after, her first single, Tell Me How You Feel, was dropped. Enriquez was rising to fame, and in 2001 her debut album was finally released. But her career wasn't the only thing earning her attention. Shortly after the album came out, she and Jeter got together.
Joy Enriquez, Again
Enriquez and Jeter were introduced to one another by one of the baseball players' teammates, Alex Rodriguez. It seemed like he was a good matchmaker because the duo got along and started dating. Unsurprisingly, the relationship only went on for a few months.
Following closely after the end of their fling, Enrique got married. In 2004, she and record producer, Rodney Jerkins made their way to the alter. Funny enough Jerkins was the one who helped the singer with her very first album. Her future husband was there all along.
Mariah Carey
Both Mariah Carey and Jeter were rising to fame in the 1990s. The pop singer quickly became an international sensation after her self-titled debut album was released. But two years before the album was even dropped, she was dating a well-known athlete - Jeter.
In 1989 the pair were linked to each other for about a year. Compared to Jeter's other relationships, that's like a lifetime! But despite their love for one another, the paparazzi and media attention surrounding their romance was a bit too much for either one to handle.
Mariah Carey, Again
Sadly, the two celebs broke things off and focused on their respective careers. Even today, Carey is arguably best known for her vocals and musical talents. She's even been given the title of "The Queen of Christmas" due to her smash hit, All I Want For Christmas Is You.
While things between the artist and the professional baseball player didn't work out, there's no bad blood between them. Carey described their time together as "a short and sweet dream." In 2008, she got married to Nick Cannon, but the two ended up parting ways years later.
Minka Kelly
Before finally meeting the woman that Jeter would fully commit to, he had a pretty serious relationship with Minka Kelly. The Friday Night Lights bombshell met the Yankees shortstop in 2008 - shortly after Kelly had ended things with John Mayer. Jeter, on the other hand, was busy getting over Jessica Biel.
At first, their relationship was kept on the down-low. It wasn't until the next year that PDA-filled pictures were taken of the couple in ST. Barths that fans realized they were official. As time went by, the two had already been together for 2 years, and rumors of marriage began brewing.
Minka Kelly, Again
After several failed flings, fans thought that the long-term relationship with Kelly was a sign that Jeter had finally decided to put a ring on it. Yet unfortunately, spectators may have jumped the gun here. In 2011, seemingly out of nowhere, the A-list celeb couple called it quits.
The actress went on to focus on her career. Over the years, she's gotten numerous successful acting roles, including Sara in The Roommate and Joanna in Just Go With It. While Kelly never ended up marrying anyone, her ex-boyfriend Jeter was just around the corner of finding his true love...
Hannah Davis
Up until Jeter met his future wife, he was playing the field both in baseball and with his girlfriends. It took a few tries before he was finally able to stay committed to one lucky gal. In 2012, rumors started to spread that the baseball player was seeing a new lady, Hannah Davis.
The two were seen together traveling from New York City to Tampa, Florida. At first, the Sports Illustrated model and the athlete were keeping their relationship away from the public eye. It took years before either one ever officially commented on their status.
Hannah Davis, Again
Before meeting Jeter, Davis was busy modelling to save up money for her real goal: Her tennis career. Traveling through the country for tournaments was getting too expensive, so she decided she needed a side hustle to afford life as a tennis player. "IMG and Ford [modeling agencies] were at these tournaments," she said.
"So that sparked my interest because I felt like, 'OK, maybe I can pay for my lessons," Davis continued, further explaining to Health that her time in modeling was "purely as a job to help pay for my dream." But, of course, it ended up becoming her full-time career.
The Early Stages
When her modelling career took off, Davis moved to New York, where she could nab more jobs. And that was when she started to date the Yankee's star player, Derek Jeter. When the two first met, it was during the off-season - meaning he had a lot of time to spend with his latest love interest.
But when the baseball season rolled around, Davis started to truly understand just how famous her boyfriend was. She revealed, "I thought, here's this guy, who I go home and watch TV and order takeout with - and the rest of the world feels like they have a piece of him too. It was strange. I didn't know how to reconcile it all."
Finally Settling Down
After dating for roughly three years, the model and the athlete officially announced their engagement in November 2015. It was surprising to learn that the former eligible bachelor had finally decided to tie the knot. After a year of planning the ceremony, the couple was at last wedded.
The private wedding took place at the Meadowood Napa Valley Resort in St. Helena, California. It wasn't a big celebration - the two invited their closest family and friends for an intimate ceremony. Regardless of their 16-year age difference, fans were happy the baseball player finally found a happy ending.
The Ultimate Home Run
Not long after the marriage ceremony, the pair shared that they would be welcoming their first child together. In August of 2017, Davis had birthed a little girl, whom they named Bella. And in 2019, they welcomed their second daughter, Story. It seemed like things were going very well for them.
After many years of on and off flings, we can't help but wonder what made Jeter decide that Davis was the girl he would marry. Maybe it's her love for family? "She would choose her family over a night out any day," revealed a childhood friend. We can't be sure. Either way, it looks like Jeter struck out, on and off the field.
