From Twitter Wars to Dirty Glares: These Celebs Literally Can't Stand Each Other
| LAST UPDATE 02/20/2023
It's no secret that Hollywood is filled with drama, and our favorite celebs don't exactly hide their feelings. Take a look at the stars with long lasting juicy beef...
Jamie Lynn & Britney Spears
Britney has had no problem making it clear how she feels about her sister, Jamie Lynn. The pop star posted, "My so-called support system hurt me deeply," and unfollowed her sister on Instagram! Later, Jamie Lynn wrote on her Insta Stories, "Britney — Just call me," and continued to ask her sister to talk privately "like sisters should."
Jamie Lynn released a memoir, which only made it worse. Britney sent her sister a cease and desist letter and called her scum on Instagram. The Zoey 101 actress's absence was noticed at Britney's wedding to Sam Ashgari. However, big sis Brit did a tribute post for her little sister, so maybe they have made amends? Stay tuned!
Quavo & Offset
The cousins used to make up the Bad and Boujee rap group, Migos, but now they don't talk. So, what happened between Quavo and Offset? Rumors of a feud began firing off in May 2022 when Quavo and the late Takeoff dropped a song without their third group member, Offset. And his wife, Cardi B, unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on the 'gram.
"We stand on loyalty, real deal loyalty, and sometimes that s--- ain't displayed," Quavo shaded in an interview. The pair have seemingly still not made amends. During the Grammys, the two reportedly got into a fight backstage! Quavo had blocked his cousin from joining in a tribute to the late Takeoff, who was tragically killed in 2022.
Prince William & Prince Harry
It's a battle fit for kings - or princes. The royal brothers, William and Harry, have apparently not been getting along for some time now. In his Netflix docuseries, Harry claimed that William screamed at him when he expressed his wishes to give up his royal duties.
In his 2023 memoir Spare, Harry added that his brother pushed him when the two supposedly fought about Harry's wife, Meghan Markle. He said in an interview with iTV, "I would like to get my father back, I would like to have my brother back. They've shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile." Talk about a royal battle.
Francia Raisa & Selena Gomez
Doing a friend a favor is lovely, but donating a kidney is on a whole other level! That's exactly what Francia Raisa did for her BFF Selena Gomez when she had complications with Lupus in 2017. Then, things went south when Gomez said in her 2022 documentary, My Mind & Me, "My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift]."
Raisa, who had been one of Selena's besties for over 10 years, was offended. The How I Met Your Father actress commented "interesting" on a post that shared Gomez's quote and unfollowed her now-former friend. Gomez responded by commenting on a TikTok discussing their drama: "Sorry I didn't mention every person I know." Major yikes.
Will Smith & Chris Rock
The Oscars are always filled with Hollywood moments, but no one expected this slapping surprise at the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony. Host Chis Rock was delivering his opening monologue and made a joke aimed at Jada Pinkett-Smith's bald head, which was due to alopecia. While Smith initially laughed, Jada did not find it funny.
So, Smith walked over to Rock and slapped him. Rock remarked, "Oh, wow! Wow. Will Smith just smacked the s--- out of me." Smith won the Oscar for King Richard and used his acceptance speech to apologize to the Academy. Later that night, Sean "Diddy" Combs told the press, "That's not a problem. That's over. I can confirm that."
Kanye West & Pete Davidson
Things are "bound" to go down when you start dating Kanye West's ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and Pete Davidson learned that the hard way. While Davidson had previously poked fun at West's controversial SNL appearance on the show in 2018, their feud escalated when Davidson and Kardashian's relationship went public in November 2021.
Ye wrote in Eazy, "God saved me from that crash/Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a-- (who?)." Pete reactivated his Insta only to delete it a week later because the harassment from Kanye's fans was so bad. While Kim and Pete called their relationship off in August 2022, things are still up in the air for Davidson and West.
Olivia Wilde & the Don't Worry Darling Cast
From romance to firings, there was more drama surrounding director Olivia Wilde's second film than in it. Harry Styles replaced Shia LaBeouf as the lead. While Wilde claimed that she fired him, LaBeouf responded, "I am a little confused about the narrative that I was fired, however. You and I both know the reasons for my exit."
On set, Styles and Wilde got romantically involved. During the film's press run, rumors circulated of a falling out between Wilde and her female lead, Florence Pugh, due to Pugh's notable absence from the tour. Wilde avoided any questions regarding it. For Olivia Wilde, there was clearly something to worry about, darling.
Sarah Jessica Parker & Kim Cattrall
These former co-workers reportedly can't stand each other! While rumors that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall didn't get along circulated while filming Sex and the City, things did not blow up until a third movie was in the works. The Daily Mail wrote that Cattrall refused to be in the film due to financial demands.
Cattrall tweeted, "The only 'demand' I ever made was that I didn't want to do a 3rd film & that was back in 2016." The movie was never made, and Cattrall wasn't asked to be in the reboot series. Parker recently said on a podcast, "So I just wish that they would stop calling this a 'catfight'… There has been one person talking."
Lauren Conrad vs. Heidi Montag
As MTV's reality series The Hills progressed, fans watched the friendship of Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag fall apart. The cause? In one instance, Spencer Pratt told his girlfriend that, “Lauren is a cold-hearted killer. She tried to destroy us.”
Lauren and Heidi couldn't seem to agree on the kind of person Spencer was. “I actually came dangerously close to not doing season three because I really didn’t want to do the show with Heidi and Spencer,” Lauren admitted. Yikes...We can only hope they've moved on.
Shane Dawson vs. The Smith Family
The beef started not long ago, in June 2020. Famous YouTuber Shane Dawson posted a video fantasizing about Willow: Jada and Will's youngest daughter. Mama bear wasn't happy about this and went straight to Twitter to discuss the matter. She wrote, “To Shane Dawson... I’m done with the excuses.”
However, Jada wasn’t the only one coming forward. Willows’ brother, Jaden Smith, tweeted, “You sexualizing an 11-year-old girl who happens to be my sister... is the furthest thing from funny and not OK in the slightest bit.” He added, “This man was also doing black face on the regular. This is not okay.”
Naomi Campbell vs. Tyra Banks
We can trace back Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks’ dispute back to 1992 after the models worked together on a Vogue photoshoot. Naomi said, “People didn’t realize that I was going home crying my eyes out because a woman that I was looking up to seemed like she just didn’t want me to be there.”
Both starts proved their dedication and professionalism, as they kept it impartial on camera. However, things took a different turn off-screen. In one instance, Tyra Banks told E! that Naomi Campbell was rude during runway shows and tried to get America’s Next Top Model host fired from her gigs.
Cole Carrigan vs. Jake Paul
Cole Carrigan and Jake Paul started as friends. However, like many internet collaborations, this one also turned sour. Carrigan left Team 10, Jake Paul’s content house, along with a detailed explanation of his group’s experience. Ultimately, this was the starting point of many conflicts between the two.
Carrigan said, “The environment was very toxic. No one cared about each other. No one supported each other.” He also added that Paul drew offensive graffiti over one of his murals. The dispute reached its peak when Jake told Tana Mongeau, his ex-wife, to uninvite Cole from her birthday party.
Megan Thee Stallion vs. Tory Lanez
In July 2020, Megan Thee Stallion disclosed to the public that she was involved in a terrible incident. Not long after, she revealed that Tory Lanez allegedly shot her. However, the Canadian rapper denied these allegations in one of his songs, Money Over Fallout, released shortly after the accident.
The lyrics said, “People tryna frame me... Girl, you had the nerve to write that statement on the affidavit, knowing I ain’t do it.” He also questioned whether she was even shot. Megan put her focus on recovering, and in the end, Tory was charged with carrying an unregistered firearm and shooting Megan multiple times.
Katherine Heigl vs. Shonda Rhimes
The dispute between actress Katherine Heigl and producer Shonda Rhimes started after the 2008 Emmy Awards. Heigl didn’t find Grey’s Anatomy’s material worthy enough “to warrant an Emmy nomination.” So, she withdrew her name from contention. This issue offended Rhimes, as the show’s creator and producer.
Shonda said, “On some level, it stung, and on some level, I was not surprised.” She added, “When people show you who they are, believe them.” Eventually, they cut off Katherine’s character from the show. Soon after, the actress declared that her dissatisfaction stemmed from her acting, not the material.
Megan Fox vs. Michael Bay
Megan Fox and Michael Bay’s beef dates back to the first day of filming 2007’s Transformers. Allegedly, the director asked the actress to clean his car, being in no way related to her role. Fox worked on the franchise’s two films. However, she quit her position due to the director’s behavior.
Megan reached for assistance regarding the working conditions but “was rejected because of qualities that are now being praised in other women coming forward.” So, she described Michael as “a nightmare to work for.” On the other hand, the director said that he kicked off her rise to fame, and Fox was unappreciative.
Lindsay Lohan vs. Jennifer Lawrence
A couple of years ago, Jennifer Lawrence did an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. During the talk, she discussed how exhausting her career could be. Lawrence said, “I get like, Lindsay Lohan-grade exhaustion.” She continued by clarifying how she doesn’t party as Lindsay Lohan does.
Lindsay’s family was quick to react. Her sister tweeted, “I never breathe life into negativity. But I stand by my family. Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan.” Linsday’s mother also told Entertainment Tonight, “It was disappointing that she didn’t have her peers’ back... My family sticks together.”
Andy Cohen vs. Jillian Michaels
Over the years, Andy Cohen and fitness trainer Jillian Michaels had several disputes. Their first feud happened on Cohen’s show when Jillian alleged Andy of acting “condescending and unprofessional.” The drama further developed when the two had different opinions on a popular diet, ending in a quarrel.
After Michaels told listeners to “avoid the keto diet,” Cohen called her a “j*ckhole.” Soon after, Jillian bad-mouthed the Real Housewives franchise, saying, “It’s like [the show] was created by someone who hates women.” From that point on, Cohen had countless negative things to say about Michaels, and the beef continued.
Alexandra Cooper vs. Sofia Franklyn
Alexandra Cooper and Sofia Franklyn entered a partnership for the show Call her Daddy. On-screen, the two podcast icons discussed relationships, dating, and life in their 20s. The show was a huge success. So, the fans were quite disturbed when the two went through weeks not releasing new episodes during spring 2020.
Eventually, Alexandra disclosed that Franklyn had some issues regarding their Barstool Sports contract. Even though they were former partners and friends, the two couldn’t get on the same page. So, they decided to end their arrangement. Alex kept filming Call Her Daddy, whereas Sofia started another series.
Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B
One of the most famous Hollywood dramas between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B started back when the hit single Bodak Yellow was released. More exactly, as Cardi started rising to fame, the two were at each others throats in the female rap industry. As time went by, the heat of the drama only turned up.
Their dispute reached its peak when Cardi said that Minaj talked poorly of her child. She said, “When you mention my child... all bets are off!” After a while, before the new year, Cardi responded in a tweet, saying, “I don’t want to end this year on bad terms with anyone... APOLOGIZE TO ME.”
Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift
Back in the day, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were good friends. Well, that was until they hired the same backup dancers for their music tours. The dancers left Taylors’ tour early to attend Katy’s event. Soon after the scheduling mishap, Swift released her song Bad Blood, eventually becoming a global hit.
Swift told the Rolling Stone Magazine her new track was about another female artist who did something “so horrible” that they became “straight-up enemies.” Perry responded, saying, “She started it, and it’s time for her to finish it.” Soon after, Katy apologized to Taylor, burying the hatchet.
Vin Diesel vs. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
Vin Diesel and The Rock’s dispute dates back to the Fast and Furious franchise’s fifth installment when Johnson joined the cast. More exactly, the 2011 sequel became a box office hit soon after the Rock’s contribution to the material. Eventually, this boiled some tension between the two.
Diesel felt he had built the franchise, whereas The Rock entered to dominate the scene. Johnson expressed his disappointment saying, “Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t.” He then thanked the “Fast Fam” except Diesel. It took a few years until these two could be in the same room again.
Amy Schumer vs. Khloe Kardashian
There's no doubt that Amy Schumer knows how to get a giggle out of her audience. Over the years, she's poked some jabs at herself and other celebs. However, when Schumer joked about the Kardashian family on Saturday Night Live in 2019, Khloe felt that she had crossed a boundary.
Schumer talked about the Kardashians at the start of the episode. She said that Khloe was the only group’s “real” role model, as the only family member without cosmetic enhancements or surgeries. Amy added that was until “[Khloe] lost half her body weight. She lost a Kendall.” Needless to say, Khloe wasn't pleased.
Tati Westbrook vs. James Charles
At the beginning of James Charles’ career, Tati Westbrook was already an established name in the beauty industry. She took James under her wing and helped the aspiring makeup artist. They were friends until Westbrook came up with a new line of vitamins, and Charles promoted her rival brand instead.
Tati shared her disappointment with the world. She said, “I feel really used. I don’t think there’s any getting through to you, and I don’t want to be friends with you.” Shortly after, Charles took responsibility for his actions and posted an apology video. However, at that point, she couldn't forgive him.
Chrissy Teigen vs. Alison Roman
This drama began during Alison Roman’s interview with the New Consumer. She said, “What Chrissy Teigen has done is so crazy to me. She had a successful cookbook. And then, it was like boom, a line at Target. Boom, now she has an Instagram page... where it’s just... people running a content farm for her.”
Teigen soon responded, “This is a huge bummer, and it hit me hard. We do this work ourselves, and there is NO monetary gain yet. It is just work, work, work, and the reward is you liking it.” Soon after, Alison offered her apologies to the foodie, but nothing has been heard about this beef since.
Miley Cyrus vs. Nicki Minaj
This feud all started with a Video of the Year award in 2015. Nicki’s hit song Anaconda didn’t make this list and she took offense. She said, “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year.” Later, in an interview, Miley said that Nicki was “not too kind.”
When Nicki finally took home an award, she didn't hesitate to take a jab at Cyrus. “Back to this b***h that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press; Miley, what’s good?” shouted Minaj. Several years passed and Miley released her song Cattitude, saying, “I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” Ouch!
Jeffree Star vs. James Charles
After the feud between James Charles and Tati Westbrook, many of their collaborators remained neutral. However, this was not the case with Jeffree Star after he clearly chose a side. He tweeted, “There’s a reason why I haven’t seen him since @GlamLifeGuru’s birthday in February.”
Star also added, “He is a danger to society. Everything Tati said is 100% true. There is a reason that Nathan [Jeffree’s boyfriend at the time] banned James Charles from ever coming to our home again.” The drama between the two went on for a while until Star posted an apology video dedicated to Charles.
Kendra Wilkinson vs. Holly Madison
While filming The Girls Next Door, Kendra and Holly seemed like the best of friends. However, things changed between the two former Playboy playmates when Madison released a detailed memoir regarding the Playboy Mansion. She wrote, “When I arrived, I saw women tell lies about other women and get them kicked out.”
Kendra didn't hesitate to fight Holly’s statements. Wilkinson claimed that Madison was sour because she wanted to marry Hugh for his money. The drama became even more heated when Kendra used video footage from Madison’s book signing on Kendra on Top. Talk about bad bunnies!
Gwyneth Paltrow vs. Martha Stewart
Gwyneth Paltrow surprised her fans when she went from actress to 'health specialist,' via her brand, Goop. However, as time went by, Goop turned into a versatile health and wellness company. It was then that Martha Stewart took a jab saying, “If [Paltrow] were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.”
The beef further developed on the Watch What Happens Live show. When asked about Paltrow’s latest product, a candle, Martha responded, “I’m sure it sold out.” She continued, “She does that kind of irritatingly -- she’s trying to zhuzh up the public to listen to her, and that’s great... I wouldn’t buy that candle.”
Ariana Grande vs. James Charles
Ariana Grande and James Charles’ relationship seemed fine when she invited him backstage at her 2018 performance. However, soon after the event, the famous influencer posted a YouTube video to reveal his genuine opinion on Grande. Let's just say, he wasn't impressed.
James called Ariana the “rudest celebrity” he knew. Later on, Grande turned up the heat and unfollowed Charles on social media. He found this unfitting, so he reached out to ask her why she did it. Eventually, Arian responded saying, “I saw a lot of angry tweets from my fans... so I unfollowed.”
Rihanna vs. Ciara
According to Ciara, this drama started when Rihanna gave her the cold shoulder a Red Carpet event. During an interview with E! Fashion Police, the singer spoke of Riri, saying, “I ran into her recently at a party. She wasn’t the nicest... It wasn’t the most pleasant run-in.”
The drama took a whole new level on Twitter when Rihanna wrote, “My bad Ci, did I forget to tip you? #howrudeofme.” Ciara continued the dispute, saying, “Trust me, Rihanna, you don’t want to see me on or off the stage.” However, it all came to an end when Riri sang a cover of Goodies, her former rival’s song.
Lady Gaga vs. Madonna
Gaga's little monsters may have loved Born This Way, but others were not as impressed. Many found similarities between Gaga’s new song and Madonna’s Express Yourself, which initiated many public disputes. In addition, Madonna said, “I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting.”
Lady Gaga disagreed, saying, “It’s the same on that’s been in disco music for the last 50 years.” She continued, “Just because I’m the first f***ing artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn’t mean I’m a plagiarist; it means that I’m f***ing smart. Sorry.”
Will Smith vs. Janet Hubert
Both Will and Janet starred in the first three seasons of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. However, in the fourth season, Daphne Maxwell Reid took over the role of Hubert. According to Janet, Smith was the one responsible for this replacement. Eventually, this led to a decades’ long feud, up until 2020.
In the early 90s, Smith said, “No matter what, to her [Hubert], I’m just the Antichrist.” Then, in 2011, Hubert declared, “He’s still an egomaniac and has not grown up.” She also added, “This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn’t know the word.”
Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun
When Scooter Braun bought Big Machine Records in 2019, he became the owner of the rights masters for its music. Taylor Swift was one of the artists and she wasn't too happy about this new ownership. She took to Twitter saying that she was “sad and grossed out.”
According to Taylor, she was unaware of this deal. She said, “Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter.” However, Scooter claimed this wasn't the case. Shortly after, Taylor Swift left Big Machine Records. To this day, this drama is still brewing.
J.Lo vs. Mariah Carey
The beef between J. Lo and Mariah Carey kicked off around 20 years ago. At the time, the two stars collaborated with Tommy Mottola, Carey’s ex-husband, at Sony Music. Mottola invested in J. Lo after the couple’s separation. Apparently this triangle was enough to ruin a friendship.
In one instance, Mariah said of Jennifer, “I don’t know her.” Carey believed that Mottola was using J.Lo to undermine her career. So, she declared that Jennifer took two of her hit songs. Furthermore, Carey questioned whether Lopez would achieve the same fame without the stolen pieces, which were supposed to be Mariah’s.
Drake vs. Meek Mill
The beef between Drake and Meek Mill began after Mill went public with his opinions regarding Drake. Meek tweeted, “Stop comparing Drake to me too... He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!” His fellow rapper didn’t like these claims, soon resulting in a serious dispute.
Mill added, “He ain’t even write that verse on my album. And if I woulda knew I woulda took it off my album..... I don’t trick my fans!” the allegations went on for a year, taking things from Twitter to the recording studio. Drake released Charged Up, whereas Meek published Wanna Know, clearly taking jabs at each other.
Lana Del Rey vs. Azealia Banks
The beef between Lana and Kanye West led her to another dispute with Azealia Banks. Lana took to Twitter, to discuss her disagreements with some of Kanye’s political views. Azealia responded, “Wow, okay, Lana, this would be cute if you were consistent with your outrage and refused to collab with ASAP Rocky.”
Banks then continued tweeting about various instances when Lana Del Rey used Kanye to appear educated and politically informed. Soon after, Lana responded. She tweeted, “Banks. U coulda been the greatest female rapper alive, but u blew it. don’t take it out on the only person who had ur back.”
50 Cent vs. French Montana
The beef between 50 Cent and French Montana was initiated thanks to others constantly commenting on their drama. In one interview, Montana said, “You should avoid beef if you trying to make money. They [used to] do that with 50 because 50 was on the bank. They knew he was going to win.”
50 Cent was then quick to respond, saying, “French Montana, you ain’t sh** boy.” He added, “You out your league talking about me.” The drama between the two went on for a while. Recently, Cent, along with his fans, claimed that back in January 2020, Montanna lied about Spotify streaming records.
Kim Kardashian vs. Chloe Grace Moretz
Kim Kardashian is constantly decorating our Instagram feeds. In one instance, the former reality star posted a picture with the caption: “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL.” Many fans found this caption pretty annoying, including Chloe Grace Moretz.
Grace Moretz wrote to Kim, “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.” Kardashian tweeted back, saying, “Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to Twitter since no one knows who she is.”
