Jordan Brand Unwraps 12-Shoe Holiday Season Collection

sports /

Ahead of this year’s holiday season, Jordan Brand is debuting a collection of 12 retro sneakers featuring both fresh and more familiar styles.

Leading the pack are four Air Jordan 1s – three men’s designs and one women’s. There’s the CO.JP “Midnight Navy” colorway (above, top left) that first dropped circa 2001 via the “Japan Addition” set of J’s exclusive to the country.

Next is the “Dark Mocha” offering a brown, white and black color combo similar to the look of Travis Scott’scoveted Air Jordan collaboration. The women’s model could be the coolest of them all – it’s vibrant green makeup is inspired by Michael Jordan’s 63-point performance against the Celtics in the first round of the 1986 NBA playoffs.

Another highlight is a black Air Jordan 3 complete with classic elephant print and purple and orange accents. But many sneakerheads have their sights set on the AJ4 “Fire Red” (first below), which marks the sneaker’s third re-release and presents the classic Nike Air logo on the heel.

A “Sashiko” AJ4 will drop as well, named after a Japanese stitching technique and fashioned with canvas and twill. (Earlier this year, Nike delivered a denim and suede “Sashiko” SB Dunk Low.) Both the AJ3 and “Sashiko” will only retail outside of the U.S.

Finally, you have a white women’s Air Jordan 8 splashed with a burgundy finish, as well as a red and black remix of MJ’s iconic “Flu Game” 12’s.

Reportedly priced between $175 to $225, these kicks are set to arrive in spurts beginning later this fall through the SNKRS app and a handful of shops like Foot Locker.
