Young Chop has been arrested for a crime no one saw coming.
Nearly two weeks after Chop was arrested for reckless conduct in connection to his manhunt for 21 Savage in Atlanta, the Chicago producer has once again been placed behind bars. This time, though, he's accused of something much more gut-wrenching.
Per a Friday news release from the Gwinnett County Office of the Solicitor General, Chop, whose real name is Tyree Pittman, was taken into custody on Thursday, April 16, for alleged animal neglect and animal cruelty in the form of starvation resulting in the death of a dog.
Animal neglect is a misdemeanor charge and violates Chop's current probation.
He's also facing allegations of reckless conduct with a weapon and driving without a license, as well as citations for possibly driving without insurance and with an expired tag.
As mentioned in the release, the reckless conduct with a weapon charge is related to an alleged incident in which Chop fired off a weapon in front of his home. Likely footage of this situation previously surfaced with the claim that Chop was acting in self-defense after some people pulled up on him early in the morning.
Probably not too helpful for his defense.
Chop has been making all sorts of headlines lately. Last weekend, he dropped a diss track directed toward Drake, Meek Mill, 21 Savage and French Montana, though he didn't name-drop any of the artists.
Meek previously expressed concern for Chop's mental health after Chop claimed that Meek, along with 21, got scared after seeing a gun in a studio session.
"It’s obvious chop having some mental issues... y’all be gassing stuff so much y’all just gone ignore it! I been getting beats from him for years hope he get well," Meek tweeted.
(Feel so bad for that poor dog that died. 😢)
