Those bumping Lil Uzi Vert and Future's joint album, 'Pluto x Baby Pluto,' are going to want to get their hands on this custom Game Boy Color game that flips the spacey concept into a playable experience.
Developed by a hip-hop-loving designer nicknamed Krool Toys, the full game can be played online. Players use simple keyboard controls – arrows to move, "K" to jump – to maneuver their way through the platformer setup, which later introduces gun-blasting.
So fire! The game even incorporates references to both Uzi and Future as well as 8-bit video game-sounding samples from the 16-track project.
Here's the description on the back of the vintage-looking Nintendo packaging: "Join Lil Uzi Vert as he journeys to defend the Uziverse. Survive the cyborg invasion and get to the rocket to blast off into space."
Krool also posted a video showing the opening level of the Game Boy model and explained, "We collaborated with Uzi’s team on this custom made fully playable Gameboy color game! Designed and developed by Krool Toys and hopefully the first of many video games we can bring to you guys. Truly insane that this is a real thing."
For real? Perhaps the coolest part of this entire effort is that the actual one-of-one copy along with a matching Game Boy Color system can be yours by entering the free online contest.
As unique as this partnership appears, it's not the first time Krool has digitized an album for a hip-hop artist. Back in September, he flipped Lil Tecca's 'Virgo World' into a Game Boy title.
