Young Thug turned 29 years old on Sunday, the one-year anniversary of the release of his platinum-selling debut studio album So Much Fun. Fun also appeared to be the theme of his extravagant birthday party.
First, Gunna brought his friend and mentor a tiny piece of cake and one candle surrounded by $100,000 cash on a platter, while attendees including Nav sang "Happy Birthday." Why waste that money on an overly sweet birthday treat anyways?
"100K for always keepin it 100 w me," he wrote on Instagram. "ILY TO DEATH TWIN !" Wunna later showed off an iced-out Eliantte chain for Thug reading "King Slime" on the back. Real friends.
Next, producer and frequent collaborator London On Da Track "slimed out" Thugger with the "top extreme bike in the world," a custom Kawasaki Ninja H2 that can reach up to 186 MPH. Thankfully, London offered a helmet with the gift as well.
At some point, Thug, Gunna and a few other members of the YSL crew went for a helicopter ride. Though some commenters initially thought Thug was piloting the chopper, a closer look shows someone else next to him likely manning the controls. I mean, he's looking at his phone mid-flight.
Metro Boomin was another big name to wish the Atlanta icon a blessed day via IG Story, comparing themselves to sharpshooters Steph Curry and Klay Thompson "every time we link up."
All this birthday love apparently caused Thug to break down in tears. Or maybe not. He shared a smiley selfie with the caption, "It’s my bday.. I cry when I want too..#SIKE."
