Check Out Cactus Plant Flea Market's Remix on Nike's Air Force 1

entertainment /

There's nothing like a pair of crisp white Nike Air Force 1s. Cactus Plant Flea Market, a secretive streetwear brand embraced by hip-hop fashionistas like Pharrell, Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West and others, is putting its own spin on the classic model.

Tapping into the chunky lettering found on Nike's Air More Uptempo basketball shoe, popularly reimagined by Supreme in 2017, these clean, all-white CPFM Air Force 1s are meant to soak up the "SUNSHINE." That's what the wrapped around upper suggests at least.

CPFM is known for its trippy, eclectic approach to design, inspiring the colorful insoles that look like they were plucked from Willy Wonka's chocolate factory garden if the candy tycoon was a sneakerhead instead. One marks the left foot, the other the right.

It's the third time the Brooklyn-based CPFM has collaborated with Nike. May 2019 marked the release of the semi-deconstructed Air VaporMax once spotted on Frank Ocean. Then, Nelly showed off his customizable Nike By You AF1s.

More recently, a two-pack of steely Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Dunk Lows have been sparking interest. They're reportedly arriving this holiday season.

The "SUNSHINE" Air Force 1s will drop this Thursday, Sept. 10, for $130. An all-black colorway with lettering outlined in white is arriving soon, too.
